In 1998, MultiRio won the tender and became the lessee of the Container Terminal II at the Port of Rio de Janeiro for a period of 25 years, renewable for another 25 years.
In 2011, MultiRio renewed in advance the lease contract for Container Terminal II for another 25 years, thus guaranteeing the concession of the area until the year 2048. In return, MultiRio committed to make investments of approximately R$ 200,000,000, needed to expand the Terminal's capacity.

The MultiRio Terminal is a key part of Grupo Multiterminals' 360 degree logistics process.
